Temporary labour cover | Tools and phone insurance |
Provides Public and Employers Liability cover in respect of persons whom you may engage on a temporary basis whether involved in manual, clerical or administrative duties. Similar cover and trade restrictions to those outlined in the Public Liability and Liability Sections will apply. | Covers the loss of or damage to hand tools, hand held portable power tools and mobile phones. They will belong, be leased or hired to yourself or your permanent employees, subject to a maximum value of £350 any one item. |
Hired plant insurance | Own plant insurance |
Insurance that covers the loss or damage to hired in plant up to £50,000 for any one claim. A £500 excess applies to theft or malicious damage and £250 excess in all other cases. | Covers loss or damage to your own plant and equipment up to a maximum of value of £20,000 for any one loss. Insurance cover also extends to include stock-in-trade whilst anywhere in the UK up to £2,500. A £500 excess applies to theft or malicious damage and £250 excess in all other cases. |
Contract works cover | Personal accident insurance |
Covers the loss or damage to contract works and materials to a value of £250,000 for any one loss. | Covers principals and directors aged up to 75 years and provides compensation of £250 per week in the event of temporary total disablement arising from an accident at work. An additional £2,000 will be paid in the event of death or permanent total disability. Compensation will not be paid in the first 14 days of temporary total disablement. |
